Musical is blast from past
Big hair, shoulder pads and legwarmers will be the order of the day when a special stage musical based on the 1980s arrives in the Midlands via Australia.
A team of 30 young adults are busy limbering up for the glittering show entitled “Back to the 80s” which was written and launched last year by Neil Gooding.
Gooding’s parents even contacted Wyre Forest District Council as they want to watch the show during their forthcoming trip to the UK. It will be performed at Stourport Civic Centre from April 25 to 28 by Kidderminster-based Limelight Productions. The show will feature songs from 80s artists such as Madonna, Lionel Ritchie and Bon Jovi.
Limelight producer Lynette Tatton-Brown said: “The 80s were a fantastic decade for music and we have some of the finest songs in the show.”
