Nielsel Soundscan Charting System debuts in Romania

Catalin, our team member from Romania informs us that Madonna’s Jump is still doing good in his country’s charts.

Catalin also informs us that the Nielsen Soundscan charting system has made its way to Romania starting January 2007, “We now have a second airplay chart – which is actually the official one, but it is only meant for professional use at the moment” Catalin tells us. The new system only takes into consideration airplay from 8 major networks while there are several other major radio networks + some 200 local radio stations that really can build up a chart hit.

In the Romanian Nielsen Airplay chart for last week, Madonna’s Jump is #18 and Sorry is #49
