“What’s this?” I hear you cry. Tony’s latest iTunes playlist? A tribute to Madonna’s lesser known gems? The tracklist for GHV3?
Oh no, dear readers. This list is sad proof that despite being 25 years into her professional career, that having completed no less than 7 mammoth live tours, played multiple small gigs together with myriad TV and award show appearances – Madonna, the most successful female artist of all time and the most exciting live performer the planet has ever known – has yet to ever play any of her albums* live in their entirety! Even her two collection of Greatest Hits fall into this sad sad category!
As we have yet to have any formal notification of Madonna‘s retirement from live performing there is still hope she may one day give us the opportunity to compile a ‘live’ version of at least one of her albums, something that to date is an impossibility.
Come on Madonna – yes love, we’re pointing at you – we all know you’re busting to include ‘Jimmy Jimmy‘ on the next tour!
*There is a very slight possibility that she performed ‘Think Of Me’ and ‘I Know It’ during her personal appearances in the clubs in the early days, but there is no known evidence to support this. If anyone can prove me wrong – please do let me know!
