Pussy rules the world!

Madonna’s Express Yourself video is one of her most memorable and classic. In it she explored her feminine and masculine sides set in a “Metropolis” inspired fantasy land.

Central to the imagery in the video is the image of the feline – the cat representing the feminine.

Three separate cats where hired to play the cat you see onscreen! These ones are called Carbone……and Ebene…

…but the third one isn’t shown. Cat rejection. It’s tough at the top!

The owners of all three cats were paid 100$ for their pets per day to appear onset. Perhaps that’s why the total budget for the video topped $2,000,000!
