Radio 1 Established 1967 – in stores today
October 1 2007 marks the release of “Radio 1 Established 1967“, the compilation celebrating the 40th anniversary of BBC Radio 1 – first broadcast on 30th September 1967 – gathering together a series of 40 cover versions by contemporary artists, each one taken from one of the forty years Radio 1 has been on air and recorded specifically for this album.
As our readers remember the 2 CD set, released through Universal, features two Madonna classics: “Crazy For You“, for year 1991, performed by Groove Armada, and Natasha Bedingfield’s rendition of “Ray of Light” representing year 1998.
