Salut Nice
Today in “Madonna history” happens to be the closing day of her Blond Ambition Tour. The August 5th 1990 show from Nice, in the South of France, was the one produced by the HBO network and was first shown on their channel in the United States and later released exclusively on Laserdisc format by Pioneer Entertainment in the US and Europe.
Pioneer, the tour’s sponsor, had an agreement with Warner and Madonna for an initial release of the “Blond Ambition tour” exclusively only on the then new laserdisc format, on which the company had invested a lot to help establishing it on the market. The show was never officially released on the VHS format and to date it still remains unreleased on DVD.
