Stepping outside the box
With seven bids including male artiste of the year, Justin Timberlake is the leading nominee in this year’s MTV Video Music Awards, to be presented September 9. He’s pleased with his current place in music, reasoning that “to step outside the box sometimes is fun, and if that starts something new, that’s great. I think people like Kanye West and Timbaland do things like that; someone like Madonna, who I was lucky enough to just work with, also continues to.”
