The Lefsetz Letter on Madonna and Live Nation

Bob Lefsetz share his view on the Madonna/Live Nation affair on his “Lefsetz Letter” blog. Describing himself as “famous for being beholden to no one and speaking the truth”, Lefsetz will probably please some and upset others with his post, but he definetly has some good points and – most of all – he’s absolutely worth reading.

The whole deal has got “more to do with AEG than it does Warner Music”, he writes. Live Nation’s “Rapino had to make sure he had the star under his belt, to prevent his rival from scooping her up, because there are very few arena acts left.”
