A milestone, ten years old
Madonna’s 7th studio album was released on some European territories ten years ago today, February 27, 1998, a few days before the U.S. release (March 3).
A multi-platinum certified album and often considered by music critics as Madonna as her best, “Ray of Light” received three Grammy Awards in 1999 including “Best Pop Album” (with co-producer William Orbit on stage with Madonna to receive the award), “Best Dance Recording”, and “Best short-form video”.
The album’s art director Kevin Reagan was also honoured with a Grammy Awards for “Best Recording Package”.
