Big in Japan
Queen of pop Madonna is again “big in Japan” after after 18 years.
Her new album Hard Candy wiil reach the top spot of the album chart in Japan on May 12 according to figures by Oricon. The album includes the song “Miles Away” used as the theme song of Fuji Television soap opera “Change“.
Madonna is back on the top spot after many years in which it seemed Japan didn’t appreciate her talent anymore. Her last number one album there was ‘I’m Breathless in June 1990. She is the first foreign artist to reach the top of Japanese album chart this year with 55,000 copies of Hard Candy sold
in its first week. Previous number one albums in Japan include
