Last entries to the Tribers’ Photo Contest
Here are the last pictures sent in for the Tribers’ Photo Contest.
We asked our readers to send in the best show picture they took during a Madonna Sticky & Sweet concert along with a few lines describing why that’s their favourite one, and how amazing the submitted images have been!
With a stunning 133 pictures emailed by December 25, showcasing memorable moments from the concert and certainly giving a hint of which ones the most iconic poses of the show are, it was very hard to pick up the ones that will be voted by the Madonna Tribe Forum members.
This is why we decided to make the selection as big as possible and let the Tribers decide in a 2-step voting poll.
60 images will enter three different polls in the next days – 20 images per poll – and the six most voted pictures of every poll will then be part of the finale. Voting will take place at the MadonnaTribe Forums. All the Tribers will have a chance to vote once in every poll, meaning that they will be able to select their favourite three images in the first step, and then choose the best one in the second step, voting the one who will pick up the lucky winner who will be spoiled by Fanfire, the home of Madonna’s Official Merchandise Store, with a merchandise coupon to be used on the Madonna Fanfire Store and the one who will receive a copy of “European Sticky & Sweet Tour Memories“, the new book by Frédéric Gilloteau that looks back at the European leg of the Sticky & Sweet Tour.
A huge thank you to everyone who sent in their images – it may sound rhetorical but you all deserved to win, really. Enjoy today’s entries and get ready for the voting polls starting soon!
“This is one of the multiple front row centre pictures I took in Toronto Oct 19. To me, this picture shows Madonna having magic powers by lifting and pushing the dancers up in the air like some religious ritual. In my own mind, at that moment, I felt she was lifting me up off the floor too.”
“
This picture was taken at first concert in Santiago, on December 10, during “She’s not me”, with a “Jump” still from the video, I felt so excited in that moment, I mean, there she was, so little, so blond, so “jumper”, the whole energy focused on that woman, and that huge M right next to the stage… so powerful, besides, one of the things that I like about the picture is that fan with his arms up, that matches extremely well with M’s arms up, well, I wasn’t so close to her or the stage but, sincerely, it was one of the best nights of my life…”
“I was at the concert in Berlin, first row, and this is my favourite photo.”
“There is something to be said about a city that has never witnessed a Madonna concert. I was lucky to be apart of the Vancouver experience and this photo to me captures the essence of that whole experience.. THE QUEEN WORKING HER S*&*T OUT!!!”
“My favourite photo was taken during Madonna Sticky & Sweet concert on December 7th, the 3rd show in Buenos Aires. I really “FOUGHT” for this photo!!! I went to the 4 shows in Buenos Aires and I wanted to take one photo to Madonna striking a pose! This is the Madonna that I love: Madonna beautiful, free, with force and spirit, with style, striking a pose!! Perhaps I took better photos (closer, best colors, best focus…) but in the deepest place of my heart I love this one!!!”
“I took this amazing picture of Madonna from the first show in Buenos Aires on Dec. 4. I love this picture because here you can clearly see what a perfect body she has, Her face looks astonishing and was taken in the very moment the holds her hat.”
“Chicago, Illinois, October 26, 2008
This was my first time seeing Madonna in concert, and she did not disappoint. I was upgraded to the first row, first seat from the very last row. Never in my wildest dreams did I think I’d be able to see her this close up. This is my favorite picture I took because you can see the look in her eyes staring into the sea of people screaming her name, and the authenticity of her beauty – no airbrush needed. Plus, her outfit is simply amazing!”
“I’d like to submit this pic of Madonna I took in Athens almost 3 months ago. It’s from one of the highest points if the show – Heartbeat. I truly loved the energy, the feel and the vibe of this performance.“
