Madonna in Argentina review and pics by Martin
Hello friends. I’m Martin Aravena, from Buenos Aires, carrying out my report about the last Madonna’s concert in Argentina.
The only bad thing of December 8th was the climate, which was cloudy the whole day. But when Paul Oakenfold offered his show he began to heat the atmosphere motivating to that the public celebrated for a last time. After Oakenfold concluded his performance (he began at 20hs o’clock and lasted exactly one hour), it began to cloud over more and more.
At 21:30 (fifteen minutes before the concert of Madonna began) it began to rain strongly, what caused a climate of tension among people when seeing that the show didn’t begin. Minutes before that, a voice through the speakers announced that the concert would be recorded for the future DVD of the tour.
The rain continued and people began to cover themselves. The 21:45 and the concert didn’t begin, people get empatient. Up of the stage a concerned Christian Lambs, Madonna’s producer, announced concerned the situation. The show was about to be canceled.
At 22hs o’clock. some people began to dry the stage that was wet because of the rain. Minutes later the lights of the stadium faded and the show finally began. Madonna came out to the stage, but to the moment to sing “Beat Goes On”, she was worried for that the stage was wet because of the rain. But the miracle happened during “Human Nature”: the rain ceased, and the concert continued without problems and in a climate of total fun.
Again Madonna interpreted “Don’t Cry For Me Argentina“, and the selected song during the Request Section was again “Like A Virgin.” Madonna was surrended to her audience, she enjoyed much of the concert, mainly starting from the second act, because the rain had stopped to be an inconvenience.
The hottest moments in the concert were “Candy Shop”, “Vogue”, “Into The Groove”, “Heartbeat”, “Music”, “Devil Wouldn’t Recognize You”, “Miles Away”, “La Isla Bonita”, and obviously “You Must Love Me” and “Don’t Cry For Me Argentina” (my mom and I cry a lot during that song).
For the end, the moments more celebrated by the audience they were “Like A Prayer” (where people became mad of emotion), “Ray Of Light”, “Hung Up” and “Give It 2 Me” where Madonna descend toward the Golden Circle.
The show ended with “Game Over”, and people began to abandon the stadium. Once again Madonna demonstrated that she is the real Queen of Pop. And hopefully soon Argentina can enjoy to have to her in concert. It was the most important moment in my life.
In the pictures you can see me together with my mom. And you can see that I wear the “Madonna Do It Better” T-shirt that I order to make especially for the Madonna concerts. I hope you like it.
Regards,
Martin Alejandro Aravena from Buenos Aires, Argentina.
