Madonna in Athens review and pictures by Michael
“Dear Tribers dream team hello from the Sticky & Sweet Athens!!!
Its already a few days after Madonna’s concert in Athens OAKA Olympic Stadium and Greece still keep paying attention to the event!
It was amazing having her Sticky & Sweet tour in Athens, finally after 25 years of her career! 75000 fans were singing and dancing during the show, many voices screamed “we love you!!” and the whole stadium were shouting “M-a-d-o-n-n-a!!” and made her smile and send kisses to the audience.
She were in a great & happy mood, starting with “hello beautiful city of Athens!” and we made her be in a light tear during the song “You must love me”, saying her “we love you!!!“.
I am happy with entire show, it was fantastic, with many effects and lots of dance.
This was my second time in a Madonna concert, first was on 1993 during her “Girlie tour” in Melbourne Australia, while I was on holidays there.
The show in Athens was a perfect theatrical show with many highlights.
Some greek fans said that they were expected a different show, more powerful and with many old songs.
But this is someting usuall when an international great artist like Madonna makes, on first time, a show in a country.
Greece deserved a show from Madonna,so long to wait for, and we keep waiting for the next tour!
The security organization was prefect, no problems at all, subway were on until 02:30 am (only for Madonna’s show) so everybody went safely home.
A point of interest to know, from our television news is that Madonna went out alone! (no bodyguards) from her hotel in Athens city centre at 02:30 am, after the show, she went to a kiosk with her bathrobe, bought something, after she had a quick walk and she returned back to her hotel safely!!
The next morning she visited our Acropolis monument, had a quick sightseeing tour and then she left for the airport.
Madonna thank you for the music!!! See u soon!!!!!!!
God bless u and please… the winner took it all.!!!
Hello from Athens!”
