Madonna in Philadelphia – Josh’s review
Here’s what M-Tribe reader Josh texted on his Blackberry right after the Madonna concert in Philadelphia on Thursday night – what you would call his immediate reaction after seeing the show.
“Hey there!
Josh here – just got out of the Madonna concert @ the Wachovia Center here in Philly! I had floor seats row 2- section 1.
Ok – my review: 7 out of 10.
First thing – she usually pays most attention to this side of the stage howvere on this tour – almost none!!
I got two good looks at her and for more than half the concert i was looking at her back.
The M’s normally on the side of the stage were not there – hmmm.
Her voice sounded pretty good – I’m always amazed that she sounds like a little girl.
She seemed to be really enjoying herself.
In no way was this a sold out crowd – unless a few hundred couldn’t find gas money!!
I love Madonna – I’d been looking forward to this night for a long time – but it didn’t live up to all my expectations! Don’t get me wrong – she is incredible and there will never be another Madonna!
I guess I was just disappointed because I didn’t get a hand slap, or eye contact or even to sing into the mic. For parts of the concert I felt like I wasnt even there! I wore bright colors and was the brightest dressed person around and I don’t think she even looked at me once.
Well – trying to drive down Broad St and head to a club for an afterparty – more reviews and pics to follow!”
