Madonna knows it better than anyone

American Idol’s judge Randy Jackson, recently gave comments on the stars he worked with in the past.

Randy is a versatile musician and, in recent years, a terrific businessman. “In high school, my life was football and music,” he said. “I was playing clubs, sitting in with groups, in local symphonies and jazz bands. I loved playing but was reaching maybe 250 people. I wanted to reach 10,000. [Music producer] Tom Dowd told me, ‘You should get in the business, learn how it works from the inside.’” So Randy moved to the producing side, working with everyone from Bruce Springsteen to Madonna, Elton John and Mariah Carey.

“Madonna knows the business and her art better than anyone,” said Randy. “Elton is an amazing, talented guy. I learned from them. I’m making a living at something I love: music.”
