Madonna makes the Top 10 Singles of 2008

Sunday was the last Hit 40 UK show of 2008, so they counted down the 40 biggest selling songs of the year.

The 40 biggest songs of the year include 13 male artists, 9 women, 8 bands and groups. 11 of them are British, 18 are American, 2 are Swedish and there are 2 Australians.

The list is based on sales and airplay and Madonna made the top ten with “4 Minutes” at #8. Also, “Hard Candy” appears in the top 10 best selling albums of the year in the UK
