Two Madonna movies will be screened at the 14th Athens International Film Festival – running from September 17 to the 28 – as part of the event’s “Premiere Nights”.

“Filth & Wisdom” will be screened on Wednesday, September 24, and “I Am Because You Are” is scheduled for Sunday, September 28 – the day after the Sticky & Sweet Tour concert at the O.A.K.A.

The coincidence between the live show and the premiere screenings sparked speculation about a possible surprise appearance by the Queen of Pop. A member of the Festival’s commitee on a local tv show commented that they did ask Madonna but she thanked and said she was only going to the Stadium for her concert.

On a side note, Guy Ritchie’s “RockNRolla” is also part of the Festival’s calendar, screening on September 26.
