Madonna‘s Sticky & Sweet Tour will also stop in Zurich, Switzerland on August 30th, the promoter has announced today. Tickets will go on public sale this Friday, May 23, at 8am local time.

The Sticky & Sweet Tour will stop at the Dübendorf military airport, marking the first time for Madonna to perform in Switzerland.

Local promoters were close to sign a deal with the Queen of Pop back in 2004, but FC Zurigo did not grant permission to use the Letzigrund stadium. Two years later – for the Confessions Tour 2006 – it was the Lions hockey club to deny permission to use the Hallenstadion for the concert. At the time it was not possible for Madonna to perform at Dübendorf because the area was already booked for a Rolling Stones concert.
