Madonna Unwraps the Candy on the cover of Record Collector
Madonna strikes a pose on the front of the July 2008 edition of UK magazine Record Collector (no. 351), out now.
The latest edition of the magazine that is “serious about music” includes the in-depth feature Madonna Rare – Unwrapping the Candy; a ten-page feature by Peter Magennis investigating B-sides and hidden gems from the most collectable diva of all.
The article reveals never-before-heard information about Madonnas music and includes extracts from new and exclusive interviews with a number of Madonnas collaborators from over the past 25 years, including Reggie Lucas, Guy Sigsworth, Mark Kamins, Tony Shimkin, Greg Fitzgerald, Daniel Abraham, Mark Endert, Rico Conning, Tony McGuinness (Above & Beyond), Ralph Falcon (Murk), Alvin Speights and Kevin Parker.
The magazine also includes some rather gorgeous images supplied by none other than our very own TonyBecks.
Peter Magennis got his first glimpse inside Madonnas recording studio when he was just 11 years-old by reading an interview with one of her many collaborators in Smash Hits magazine.
Almost 20 years later and Peter has interviewed over 100 musicians who have recorded with Madonna over the past 25 years. This is his first cover feature for Record Collector magazine.
