On and on, the Beat Goes
One of the most talked about topics that fans are discussing about the upcoming Madonna album is whether the two songs that misteriously made their way to the internet last summer would be making the final cut of the new CD – and whether what leaked back then were rough demos or the final version of the tracks.
“Both Candy Store and The Beat Goes On are on the album”, a source told us. “Although I think you’ll have an hard time telling if the first one is any different from the version you already heard and that did even receive some radio spins here and then after the leak”.
From what we hear, the tracklisting of the new album – which has still to receive its final name – kept changing for a while, with songs added, others pulled, and their order being swapped as well.
“Beat Goes On is also there” – we’ve been told – “but this one is a completely different song, and sounds nothing like the version some of you might have heard.” “It is much faster, now it’s a classic dance track with a very catchy rap insert courtesy of Kanye West towards the end.”
On November 13 2007 MadonnaTribe exclusively reported for the first time that Kanye was going to appear on the new Madonna album. While she was putting the finishing touches to her new albumat RecordPlant studios in Los Angeles, Kanye West was working on the new Michael Jackson record.
Pharrell invited Kanye in the room and Madonna came up with an idea for Kanye to rap on one of her songs on the spot… and he did.
Sources now tell us: “Not only the tempo but also the pace have changed, and only the chorus and part of the bridge kept the original lyrics, all the rest, including the verses, is brand new”.
From what we learned, the “new” Beat Goes On is an amazing track with a huge potential, definetly a highlight of the new album.
