Paris Wristband story
Our community member djs was one of the lucky ones to get a ticket for tonight’s show in Paris. Many fans are quite unhappy about how the tickets were distributed at the last moment and at least we’re happy to know some of them got in the hands of deserving true fans. Here’s Dj’s story and pics from this morning:
Just wanted to share my wristband experience from Paris this morning.
I arrived at the Olympia at 7.30am and was the 231st person in line. It looked like 50 or so people had slept overnight infront of the Olympia. It was really organized and you were given a number (written on your hand) as soon as you arrived, which meant it was impossible for other people to push in, and also meant that there was no pushing or shoving when the wristbands were finally handed out, since everybody already had their number.
Wristbands were meant to be handed out at 10am, but they didn’t start giving them out until after 11.30am which was a bit stressful!
I know some people have been upset with the way it was organized at the last minute (and I whole-heartedly agree with that) but at least it was real fans that ended up with the wristbands and not just randoms.
Anyway, here are a few photos that I took.
Some people started forming a new queue for tonights gig as soon as they had their wristbands. I had to come home as I had some work to do, and I’ll head back at around 6/7pm. Doors open at 7.30pm. Support act at 8pm. And the lady herself at 10pm…. Can’t wait!!
