This is how Rosie O’Donnell answered to the following question in a recent interview with Cox News. When your career began, would you still want to be famous knowing the kind of scrutiny it involves?
Rosie: Getting to do my first show with Madonna, I learned that fame can become a prison. … [But] then I knew the good part, like having access to the best doctors and medical care my mother had cancer, and I knew at 8 or 10 that there was power in celebrity so when someone you care about needs something, you have access to it. That’s the pot of gold at the end of the rainbow.
