”Sorry, I just have to tie my shoe”
“Personally I had a lot more fun tonight than last night” – M-Tibe Team member Torontophoenix wrote on the Forum after the concert last night – “I think it was because I was less in awe and also because I knew what to look out for so I had more fun! ”
Nothing drastically different than my review from the 18th so he just mentioned a few things.
“I met up with my friends Kristopher and Mark before the show and we went to the Air Canada Centre together with my parents. It was Mark’s first time seeing Madonna and he loved every moment! The first word to come out of his mouth was “AMAZING!”
I was Left Floor Row 19 which is the first full row at end of the catwalk, which some people refer to as”catwalk front row”. I was in seat 13 which was two seats away from the catwalk. I was sitting next to Tribers fitboi1978 and Dmitri-Zhelenkov so it made my night even more fun! I already knew fitboi1978 (awesome guy), but it was really cool to meet Dmitri-Zhelenkov (super nice and a lot of fun) because he was at Confessions Tour in Moscow! He’s studying/living in Vancouver Canada now and flew to Toronto this morning for the show!
The show started EARLY tonight! There was no opening act, the lights went off at about 8:30pm and the show began!
The crowd was WILD tonight, even Madonna commented that they were crazier than last night.
Avril Lavigne was like 6 seats away from me. She was smiling and dancing and jumping through the whole show, I had no idea she was a fan!
The security guard near us was VERY strict and unfriendly. He was telling people to stop taking videos and he wouldn’t let us near the catwalk. When I said “they let us near the barrier last night” he said “well that was last night this is tonight”. It was annoying because I could see people at other parts of the catwalk up against the barrier, it was just our security guy who wasn’t letting people near it, he kept telling people to go back to their seats.
When she made her entrance for Into The Groove, she tripped on the skipping rope (she didn’t fall or anything) and just laughed and started again. Madonna wore the black top with the red shorts tonight instead of the pink version she wore the night before.
For Miles Away, Madonna didn’t dedicate it to emotional retards, she said she needed comforting or she was lonely or something like that.
For Get Stupid, the crowd again roared and cheered for Obama.
The request song was Dress You Up, Madonna sang a LOT of it, more than just one or two lines, but it was embarassing because the crowd sang along for about three lines and then it’s like no one else knew the rest of the words. Madonna was laughing and had a lot of fun though, and I’m kinda glad the crowd didn’t remember all the lyrics because it forced Madonna to sing more! LOL
During the first part of Give It 2 Me, Madonna stopped, got down on one knee, and said “sorry, I just have to tie my shoe” LOL Then during the sing-along when she put the mircrophone out to the crowd to sing someone yelled into it “WE LOVE YOU MADONNA” and she laughed and said “that’s not how the song goes” or something like that.
My Mom and Dad were at the show tonight and both loved it, although my Mom said she liked Reinvention better (she went to the Toronto show in 2004).
I’m SO sore right now from jumping like crazy for a second night in a row, and I’m losing my voice from screaming, but it was worth it! I can’t express enough how truly amazing and energetic this tour is! Madonna is in top form, she looks like she’s having the time of her life and she’s dancing her ass off! The dancers are all amazing and they too look like it’s one big party for them! I can’t wait to see it again in Detroit!
