”This song is dedicated to the emotionally retarded”
From our Community member Live_2_See_Madonna:
Just got back from concert! Awesome Show! Very energetic!
I think she had just enough hits in there mixed in with the new songs. Although give it to me as a closer should have been nixed.
However amazing show! I think it def. beats Confessions out of the water. Confessions might have been better theaterical but for fun and a good time Sticky and Sweet takes the lead.
I gotta say the new version of the old classics are great. When I saw “Hung Up” and “Music” online from her promo tour i was a little nervous.
However they totally work live and it was great. Also the tour like her previous tours made some of the album songs better.
She seemed to be in a good mood so i don’t think the divorse had her down. However, she has the ability to put things past her and just focas on what she is doing.
I thought the crowd was pretty good for the most part. My sections wasnt as up and going as others. However there was energy.
From our Community member Stevecito:
She did say something just before “Miles Away“, which she also said in New York City on Saturday, but not on Sunday:
“This song is dedicated to the emotionally retarded!”
But last night after that she added “Most of you probably know someone like who is” (emotionally retarded) and then she quickly added “I know I sure do!” (and rolled her eyes)…
From our reader KC:
I hope it goes down in the set-list that Madonna DID IN-FACT sing over a minute of “American Life” acapella style!
I was there! Amazing!!!
I just couldn’t believe that she actually sang some of it!!!
Put that in the notes!
Thanks to KC, Stevecito and Live_2_See_Madonna.
