Touched for the very first time
Toronto fan Mark Stewart saw Madonna live in concert for his first time Sunday, October 19th at the Air Canada Centre and shares his thoughts with Madonnatribe:
Last night was my first Madonna concert ever! I had high expectations – and all were fulfilled! From the second the intro started the screens were mesmorizing.. taking you on a ride through a candy machine until Madonna was unveiled by the huge screens that surrounded her.
Candy Shop was an awesome show opener getting everyone on their feet right at the beginning of the night which lasted throughout the whole concert even for the “slighty older” madonna fans that sat behind me.
My highlight of the show was definately Devil wouldn’t recognize you – the environment was set perfectly by the sounds and sights of the rounded screens at the end of the catwalk that portrayed a rain storm. The effects were amazing in my opinion and it sucked me into the song right away. I was absorbed by the images on the screen and then seeing Madonna through the ‘rain drops’ as she began to sing.
Also – for me – She’s not me was awesome. She seemed like she was having a good time throughout the entirety of the show of course but during that song I felt she was having a blast – as she ripped apart the outfits on her dancers that resembled some of her past most famous looks including the wedding dress with the ‘boy toy’ belt buckle. As she ripped them apart and did a dance / freak out she once again sucked me into the performance and had my undivided attention waiting for her next move.
The concert was absolutely AMAZING as I first had said to my friend who had taken me. Everything about it was amazing from the first song all the way through to the last second – it was packed full of the energy of a rock concert. I loved it!
