A night at the Ballet
Madonna decided to spend a night out in St. Petersburg and as we’re writing she is attending a performance of Boris Eifman’s “Onegin Online” ballet in the Alexadriisky Theater.
“Onegin Online” is the last ballet in a trilogy created by choreographer Boris Eifman and inspired by Russian literary classics. First in the trilogy was “Anna Karenina,” based on the novel by Tolstoy, followed by “The Seagull,” based on Chekhov’s play. “Onegin Online” is based on Alexander Pushkin’s classic novel in verse “Yevgeny Onegin.”
Madonna arrived at the theatre 5-10 min late, but they held the beginning of the performance for her. This also most likely means that Russia will have the Queen of Pop with her for one more night.
