Madonna all over the Israeli press
Since Israel’s number one newspaper “Yediot Acharonot” got the exclusive article by Madonna herself just a week ago – the Israeli written press and other media broadcasters are all about Madonna’s upcoming Sticky & Sweet shows and visit to Israel, and our friend David Kawena is here to keep the Tribers up-to-date with the latest!
“Not a day goes by without at least one article about Madonna in the printed media – articles are informing the Israelis about Madonna’s plans for her privet visit here – going to the Kotel (West Wall) in Jerusalem with her kids, what type of car she’ll have when she’s here and how it will be fully accessorized with state of the art audio system, etc.”

“Also leading the headlines this week are the news about the costs of the production of a Madonna concert. These bits of information were all over a 2 page spread the Yediot Acharonot financial news paper called “Mamon“. 6 Million shekels profit to Madonna (1.2 Million US dollars), about 3.5 million shekels for the flights that will bring her staff and stage, and a 1.4 million shekels for local tight and sound equipment for the 2 shows were among the figures that the article covers. The article also explains why no local Israeli singer can have a show like that, and also marks that now days leading singers like Madonna make most of their income from tours and not CD sales.”
“In more related news here are the scans from the continuation of the article Madonna has written for Yediot Acharonot last week, which is a four page spread interview with Rabbi Michael Berg. The interview talks a lot about the Kabbalah Centre and a lot about Madonna. Among the highlights of the interview Berg says that Madonna “feels highly connected to Israel in every part of soul”, he also acknowledge that “without her, even another 50 years we (the Kabbalah Centre) would never get the kind pf publicity she gave us”. “She is a very very spiritual person and she uses her wealth, fame and fortune for the benefit of others!”
“Berg also talks about Madonna’s divorce from Guy Ritchie “Madonna and Guy came to a realisation that the marriage doesn’t work for their benefit, and got divorced. I believe that Guy do not blames Kabbalah in the failure of his marriage at all, as some media members claimed.”
