Madonna closing the Sticky & Sweet Tour
Here is a great video of the last minutes of the Sticky & Sweet very last show a few hours ago in Tel Aviv shot by our Community member Tamir.
“I’m more of a casual fan to Madonna than a proper hardcore fan” – Tamir writes. “I used to live in the UK so got to see there a Confessions show (Cardiff), and the two British S&S dates for 2008.”
“Last night was my 5th Madonna show, and I must say, it was the best I’ve seen. Her voice was in great shape, she was in a good mood. As a personal note, in some very sentimental songs I had my eyes and hers hooked.”
“You Must Love Me was a big highlight to the show, from close you could see how shakey she was when she said:
“I wanna say a few words, on this very last show of the tour. I can’t think of a better place to end it but in Israel. Israelies are my fav people. I had such an amazing time doing this show. I worked with amazing people and wanna thank everyone who was invloved with this tour.
I am so lucky to do what I do.
Spending my last evening with you tonight… I never want this moment to end.”
“During the actual song she stopped, and said:
“I can’t sing in this way… I actually love you, so much.”
“Madonna was dancing like crazy with Lola too (who was playing the piano in £Devil Wouldnt Recognize You”. Rocco was with the DJ in “Music” and also was BANGING on stage during Oakenfold’s set, together with ALL the dancers and little David. I must say, after seeing many concerts in life, the set of Oakenfold last night was a true warm up, and that thanks to the very positive energy of the dancers, her boyfriend and sons being on stage, the tour crew playing the lights and stage in a spontaneous celebration atmosphere when Celebration was playing (in a repeat of like 20 minutes).”
“There’s no doubt, there’s one queen of pop, a true show girl, and Israel loves her.”
Thanks to Tamir.
