Franco-German TV network Arte is airing a series of specials called “Summer of the 80’s” from July to August this year. Following last year’s specials focused on the ’70s, the new series airs every Tuesday and Thursday.

An episode called Golden 80’s – Madonna, Bono, Diana is scheduled for August 25 at 9 PM but you should expect more references to the Queen of Pop throughout the entire series.

Arte will also air two Madonna movies timed with the kick off of her Sticky & Sweet Tour. On July 7, “Desperately Seeking Susan” is on at 8.45 PM followed by “Truth or Dare/In Bed with Madonna” at 10:45 pm.

This will be the first time since 2001 that the documentary about the Blond Ambition Tour is shown on German television.
