No Madonna, No Grammys

The 51th Grammy Awards ceremony took place at the Staples Center in Los Angeles last night. Madonna was up for three nominations but unfortunately did not make it any category. Also, despite being mentioned in a TV commercial promoting the awards show telecast last week, Madonna did not attend the event.

“Give It 2 Me“, by Madonna, produced by Madonna & The Neptunes, mixed by Andrew Coleman & Spike Stent was nominated in the Best Dance Recording category. The award went to “Harder Better Faster Stronger”, by Daft Punk.

The Queen of Pop was also a nominee in Best Pop Collaboration With Vocals for “4 Minutes” together with Justin Timberlake & Timbaland. The winner in this category was “Rich Woman”, by Robert Plant & Alison Krauss.

“4 Minutes -Junkie XL Remix” was also running in the Best Remixed Recording category. The remixer’s award went to Justice for their “Electric Feel (Justice Remix)”.
