On and On, On the Beat Goes…
In his latest “‘Cause I Got Something To Say About It…” column. M-Tribe column writer and Community member CristianLuvsMadge looks back at the most talked about topic of the end of 2008 in madonnaland. Yes, “that” topic.
Towards the end of 2008, Madonna magazine collectors worldwide were having a field day. Madonna had landed on more covers during the months of November and December than she had in the past several years. Was it in celebration of Madonna turning 50? Maybe a handful. Well then, maybe it was in celebration of her latest tour, which became her most successful ever. Nope, it wasn’t that either. Instead, our Lady of the Manor had become a recent divorcee and was single all over again. Ahh! Of course! Now, that is indeed good enough to splash across covers from New York to London to Hong Kong. Misery does love company, and everyone wants to soak up the sun (or clouds) of Madonna’s misery.
It would be rather easy to cast off Madonna now that she’s no longer married eh? She is, after all, the black widow that sucks up everything good from those around her. Madonna has no heart (or talent for that matter — but let’s get back to her lack of heart). She deserves the drama of the rocky divorce she’s experienced thus far. Her love is only devoted to the spotlight and nothing, or anyone, else. Sorry Lola, Rocco, and David… but mommy only cares about one person, and one person only —herself. At least that’s what the press would like us to believe according to the scathing articles written about Madonna’s divorce beginning last year, and continuing to be written today.
