Priority access? No! Champagne? Yes!
The first allottment of Sticky & Sweet Tour tickets of 2009 went on sale this morning with Icon Fan Club members having the opportunity to participate in dedicated presales for the following concerts:
• 04th July, 2009: London – The 02 London
• 07th July, 2009: Manchester – MEN Arena
• 11th July, 2009: Werchter – Festivalpark
• 14th July, 2009: Milan – San Siro
• 30th July, 2009: Oslo – Vallehovin
• 06th August, 2009: Helsinki – West Harbour
• 09th August, 2009: Gothenburg – Ullevi Stadium
• 11th August, 2009: Copenhagen – Parken Stadium
Together with variously priced tickets the first Live Nation packages have also been put on pre-sale. With the notable excpetion of the UK concerts, where both a Hot Ticket and a VIP package were offered, the concert in stadiums and other open air locations did not include any special offer to include a priority access.
This means that one of the most “Hot” topics of 2008 for Live Nation and Madonna fans have been solved by simply giving up the idea that fans can pay a little more to enter the venue a few minutes before the general admission crowd and eventually secure a nice spot close to the stage.
What you get in the 2009 VIP Package, in fact, is basically lots of drinks and food – not exactly the fans’ first priority when it comes to see Madonna performing.
