Blond Ambition in Nice – August 5 1990

Today, 20 years ago, Madonna’s Blond Ambition Tour ended with a spectacular and sold out concert in Nice, France. The show was recorded by Pioneer who had an exclusive deal with Madonna to use to bust sales of the then new semi digital format: the laserdisc.

This concert was given exclusively Pioneer and due to this it was never officially released on ANY other format different from Laserdisc.

As a memorabilia of that tour here’s a look at that collectable laserdisc, issued both in Pal and NTSC formats for Europe and US respectively. The big silver disc was housed in the fold out cover shown below. Click on images to enlarge.
