Remembering Caresse
Earlier today our friend Matthew Rettenmund, broke the news on his Boyculture blog and personally informed us about the unconfirmed voices going around about Caresse Henry‘s sudden death. We all wanted to believe it was a bad April fool’s day joke, but unfortunately the sad news turned out to be true.
We waited to post our bit about Caresse because an official statement was due first. Now that Liz Rosenberg has done the statement the MadonnaTribe staff can take a little time to remember Caresse, who was very loved and appreciated by Madonna fans, even if she wasn’t completely aware of this.
A few months back we contacted her on her facebook page to say hello and thank her for her past work. She brought the Queen of Pop back on tour in 2001 with the Drowned World Tour after eight long years and she was awarded Manager of the year for her amazing work in 2004 for the fan loved re-Invention Tour.
She thanked us and said she remembered us and also asked “why the fans still remembered her”. She was very sweet.
All we can do now is thank her for all the things she helped Madonna achieve and hope and pray she finally found the peace she was desperately looking for.
