Madonna not coming to South Africa, concert promoter says

“All I can say is that [Madonna] will definitely not be coming to South Africa in 2012.”

Attie van Wyk from Big Concerts – a company that already confirmed a star-studded line-up of artists including Usher, Michael Bublé, Sting, Roxette, Eagles, Il Divo and Moody Blues set to perform in South Africa in 2012 – talked to daily Afrikaans language newspaper Die Burger, quashing rumours that had been circulating on Twitter and Facebook about Madonna coming to South Africa in 2012.

He would not say if Big Concerts had any plans to bring her to the country in the near future, but expalined that the company’s plans were on track but declined to elaborate further for fear of shooting himself in the foot.
