Madonna releasing new album on Interscope
When Madonna recored her cover of “Santa Baby” for the 1987 charity album “A Very Special Christmas” in 1987, her version of the popular hit was produced by Jimmy Iovine.
Today, Iovine is chairman of Interscope-Geffen-A&M, a Los Angeles based umbrella label owned by Universal Music Group.
And guess what’s the label for which Madonna has signed an exclusive deal – to be officially announced very soon – for her 2012 album? Interscope, of course.
