Madonna rocking Hyde Park in July 2012…
According to UK tabloid The Sun, Madonna is planning to play in front of a huge crowd in London next summer, performing to 60,000 fans in Hyde Park during the 2012 Olympics.
The official site for the games – running in the UK capital from July 27 to August 12, 2012 – describes Hyde Park ad the “home to the music, theatre, film and cultural events that will take place throughout the summer of 2012”.
According to MadonnaTribe forum member londonfan30, the event is already confirmed for July 2012 and is part of a series of Live Nation produced events pre-olympics, expected to be announced in December with tickets going on sale then too.
Back in February, it was announced that Live Nation UK was appointed as event organiser and promoter of London’s four festival sites during the 2012 Olympic Games – Hyde Park, Victoria Park, Trafalgar Square and Potters Fields Park – with the rights to stage concerts and offer hospitality packages, food and drink concessions and merchandising opportunities.
