Madonna’s Oscar dress
Madonna looked really stunning with the outfit from the new collection by rising Italian fashion designer Francesco Scognamiglio.
We had a chance to briefly chat with Francesco himself about how Madonna chose that particular dress.
MadonnaTribe: Francesco, can you tell our readers how did this collaboration with Madonna for the Accademy Award night come about?
Francesco Scognamiglio: It happened just like the previous times. Madonna has expressly requested two outfits from my pre-collection (winter 2012). She saw them on an american website and… nothing more. I was only told she was very happy with the clothes she selected. Then the day after the Oscars I saw the photos and I smiled. I was very happy most of all because she is a very determinate woman that knows what she wants and that once again chose me.
MadonnaTribe: How does she choose your outfits? Does she know what she looks for already or does she take some advise from you?
Francesco Scognamiglio: In the past I’ve created some looks following her instructions but most of the times she justs sees some of my outfits and she requests them to me.
MadonnaTribe: Would you be happy to create some looks for Madonna’s next world tour like some great fashion designers have done in the past? what kind of stage costume would you create for her?
Francesco Scognamiglio: Well, that would be my biggest dream coming true. That’s what I was dreaming as a child, when I was 8 years old. I’m very proud because right from the beginning it was Madonna that came looking for me and not viceversa. I am an extremely discreet and reserved person so to me that’s really a huge honour.
MadonnaTribe: You’re not only dressing up Madonna, but also Lady Gaga. Knowing both of them, what is the main difference between them?
Francesco Scognamiglio: I think they are two different worlds that belog to two different generations. Madonna… forever love.
MadonnaTribe: Francesco, thanks for being again with us
Francesco Scognamiglio:Thanks to you and huge kiss to all the Madonnatribe followers.
