Shanghai Surprise coming to DVD in Italy

Italian fans can finally add Madonna‘s most China flavoured film adventure to their DVD collection this coming July when Shanghai Surprise is released for the first time ever on that format in Italy.

Shanghai Surprise was directed in 1986 by Jim Goddard and produced by George Harrison from the Beatles.
The film was a huge flop at the box office (funnily Shanghai Surprise was indeed the name of a bomb in the movie), the plot doesn’t make sense, there are plenty of continuity errors but… it’s Madonna’s second major movie and any fans has got to have it!

Shanghai Surprise is released on dvd in Italy on July 20th 2011 by Pulp Video. Final artwork has not yet been confirmed so the cover below might be revised.
