”Ciao Italia, I’ll be back!”
The MDNA Tour visits Barcelona tonight for the first of two back-to-back concerts at Palau Sant Jordi.
It’s time for Madonna to hit the road again after an incredibly long Italian break that brough us three incredible, packed concerts, a day full of media interviews, two days of video shooting, as well as walks, intimate dinners, and scooter and bike rides.
For the Italian fans it will take a while to get used at the idea that the Queen is no longer in this country – but we all know she’ll be back.
Madonna didn’t ever manage to perform three stadium shows in a same tour leg so far (she had three concerts booked during the Blond Ambition Tour but eventually ended up performing only two). While we’ll have to wait until the official Billboard figures for this year’s concert attendances, we all know that the Olimpico, San Siro and Franchi stadium were packed and filled with love, and only those who have no better things to do will focus on the apparently 31 tickets unsold in Milan.
The love story between Madonna and Italy, Italy and Madonna continues. Or better, it never ends.
Now off to you, Barcelona!
