GGW debuts at No. 38 on U.S. Pop Songs Chart
“Girl Gone Wild” debuts this week at No. 38 on the U.S. Pop Songs chart.
With less prestige than the official Hot 100 singles chart, the Pop Songs chart nevertheless measures a track’s popularity at mainstream (“popular”) Top 40 radio stations.
The Pop Songs chart ranks tracks based on the number of times each track is played nationwide on Top 40 radio stations.
Earlier this year, “Give Me All Your Luvin’” charted on Pop songs, peaking at No. 24. (Again, this niche Pop Songs chart is separate from the Hot 100, where we know the Queen achieved another record-breaking Top Ten with “GMAYL”).
Madonna has therefore landed two tracks from one album on the Pop Songs chart, an achievement not reached since 2000-01, when “Music” and “Don’t Tell Me” charted from the “Music” album.
