Madonna hits US Airways Center
From MyFoXPhoenix.com:
The material girl performed Tuesday night at US Airways Center. A DJ is opened the show and then Madonna is expected to hit the stage about 10 p.m. for a 2 hour action-packed show.
Madonna’s world tour is landing in Phoenix — a 2 hour show featuring 20 songs, 10 old favorites and 10 new.
We got an exclusive chance to meet with Madonna’s production manager Jake Berry to find out what goes into this show.
“It takes a hundred other people, 29 trucks, 15 tour buses, a cast of dancers, band and of course Madonna,” says Berry.
“These are the floor seats sold to the VIP package, so you get a meal or something like that and inside there where the guys are standing, that’s what we call the golden triangle. 250 people go in there. We select those people to stand in there and you see the stage and the big black object the video screen with a lot of automation pieces moving during the show. We fly 9 people. Madonna is into movies right now and she sees it as a movie so we have lots of scenes.”
Madonna has been entertaining since the early 80s, has sold over 300 million albums, and holds the record for the most successful tour by a solo artist in history.
Tickets ranged from $45 to over $400.
