Madonna in the Pop Powerlist

Set to be unveiled in an upcoming show called Pop Powerlist, researchers have calculated the 50 most powerful people in pop music, devising an algorithm that considered an artist’s current assets including their wealth, social media fan base, alongside their salience (the degree to which they are in demand: measured by recent airplay, media and word-of-mouth buzz, commercial endorsements, awards and web search interest).

The Pop Powerlist series will air on Monday April 9 at 12.00 PM when the full top 50 will be revealed in a two-hour show on 4Music.
