MDNA debuted earlier this year at No. 1 on the U.S. Billboard Top 200 Album chart with 359,000 copies sold the first week, confirming Madonna’s unmatched status at the pinnacle of the music world.

The MDNA tour has recently reached American shores, and MDNA correspondingly returns to the album chart, checking in at No. 94 a few weeks ago, and occupying No. 181 this week.

With these additional U.S. sales, the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA) certified Her Majesty’s MDNA album for gold status on October 9, 2012, denoting U.S. sales of 500,000 copies. The Queen’s subjects continue their worship of MDNA, with total sales this week rising to 512,000 copies.
