MDNA Tops the United Wolrd Chart

With the MediaTraffic Album Chart (issue date April 5, 2012) just released, Madonna jumps on the top of the United World Chart with MDNA selling 740.000 copies in its first week.

The new Madonna album is also this week’s Hot Shot Debut.

MDNA also enters the Austrian album chart at #3, at #2 (Deluxe) and #3 (Standard) in South Korea, where the two editions are not eligible to be counted as the same release, otherwise the album would have reached the top spot in the chart, and at #1 in Poland where it is already certified Gold.

In Italy, where MDNA debuted at #1 as reported yesterday, four more Madonna albums are in the Top 100: The Complete Studio Albums (#19), Celebration (#33), a smashing comeback by True Blue (#82) and the Sticky & Sweet Tour (#94).

MDNA is Gold in Russia, #1 in Greece, Hungary 8for a second week) and Wales, and debuts at #2 in Denmark.
