Mert and Marcus to direct ”Girls Gone Wild” music video

The directors for Madonna’s “Girls Gone Wild” video are fashion photographers Mert Alas and Marcus Piggott, her manager Guy Oseary himself announced on his Twitter page.

As our reader remember, Mert & Marcus already photographed Madonna for the MDNA album, although their collaboration dates back to the iconic “Pop” magazine cover and more recently to the “Interview” photoshoot and the upcoming “Truth or Dare” campaign.

“Girls Gone Wild” will be their first video collaboration with Madonna and their first music videoclip.

Last year Mert & Marcus signed the Fall/Winter 2011 issue of “Love” magazine titled “What Lies Beneath”, which also came with the haunting short film you can see below.
