”Turn Up The Radio” UK release date announced
The UK release date for “Turn Up The Radio” has been set to August 5th, it has been announced.
This means that Polydor will be releasing the new Madonna single after the four MDNA Tour concerts in the UK and Ireland, a couple of weeks later than the original tentative release which – as you remember from our report from June 8th, was set for mid-July.
There are still chances that Interscope will release the single a little earlier in other territories, where the song received a fantastic feedback from the MDNA concerts and has already hit the radio with some great airplay results.
Green light from Madonna’s management on the single and the video – which is currently in post production – are of course essential to get the entire show on the road.
As you remember two new remixes have been commissioned for the single release, bringing the total of alternate versions for the song up to five.
These new versions by Laidback Luke and R3HAB join the existing remixes exclusive to the “Smirnoff” MDNA releases in the USA and the UK ((Leo Zero Remix, Richard Vission Speakers Blow Remix and Marco V Remix).
If the license agreement with Diageo remains the same, only the new remixes will be used on the commercial single, but Interscope will be able to use the entire lot for promotional purposes.
