Warhol: Headlines opens in Rome on June 12
Coincidentially – but also so perfectly timed with Madonna’s arrival in the Italian capital city with her MDNA Tour, “Warhol: Headlines“, the first exhibition to fully examine the works that Andy Warhol created on the theme of news headlines lands at Rome’s Galleria Nazionale D’Arte Moderna e Contemporanea on June 12.
The exhibition, curated by Molly Donovan, premiered at the The National Gallery of Art in Washington D.C. las year and begins with the drawings that date back to the second half of the 1950s, continues with the paintings of the 1960s, the subsequent silk screens, printings, photographs, works on electronic support and ends with the works executed with famous graffiti artists Michel Basquiat and Keith Haring.
