An Impressive Instant
Today’s fact of the day is devoted to the late Peter Rauhofer, remembering his great Madonna remixes
His first Madonna remix as Club69 was Nothing Really Matters, the last single from Ray Of Light.
As told in THIS INTERVIEW HERE, conducted in 2004 by our friends from Russia Denis Zaharov and Pasha, Rauhofer recalled:
“After Madonna listened to some of my work she personally told me ‘Ok, I want you to remix my song Nothing Really
Matters’ , and that was my first work for Madonna.
In 2001 Peter worked on remixes for ‘Impressive Instant‘, from the album ‘Music‘: “She likes the work I did
on ‘Impressive Instant‘.
Madonna wanted that song as the last single from the album “Music”, but Warner had other plans and release further singles.
Due to this situation, the remixes I made remained promo only for “in-house” use.
The full list of commissioned Madonna remixes include:
“Nothing Really Matters” 1999
“Impressive Instant” 2001
“American Life” 2003
“Me Against The Music” (Britney Spears feat. Madonna) 2003
“Nothing Fails” 2004
“Nobody Knows Me” 2004
“Mother And Father” 2004

He also made other uncommissioned remixes for Madonna songs, including “Get Together from Confessions On A Dance Floor,
