Madonna launches SPR with a cover performance of ”Between The Bars”

Madonna performed a fantastic rendition of Elliot Smith’s 1977 song “Between the Bars” at her New York City secretprojectrevolution premiere event at the Gagosian Gallery location in Chelsea last night, September 24, 2013. The special night also featured inspired numbers from her MDNA Tour performers and lots of extra imagery and setting matching the ArtForFreedom vibe.

Guests at the event included celebrities such as Lindsay Lohan, Anderson Cooper, Zachary Quinto, Donna Karan and Calvin Klein. Madonna’s ex husband Sean Penn was also in attendance and the pair didn’t mind to strike a pose for photographers as well.
